We want to glorify God, His son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit in everything we do.

Woodhaven is a place where many doors are always open, where you can explore the seemingly simple idea of living with the joy of Christ in our lives. You’re welcome to worship, grow, serve and fellowship with us!

Gather with us on Sundays at 10:30 a.m. as we “seek God’s face” as reflected in the beautiful words from Hebrews 12:28: “Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us give thanks, by which we offer to God an acceptable worship with reverence and awe.”

No matter how young or how old, we all have room to grow in love and learn from the life and ministry of Jesus. Let’s grow up together!

From its beginnings, Woodhaven has encouraged people of all ages to follow Jesus’ example to be ministers to one another, to our community and to our world. How will you serve?

--- Our Pastor

Dave Stratton is pastor of Woodhaven Baptist Church.

“Love God. Love each other.”

When you boil it all down, it’s a pretty simple recipe for irresistible life. Our goal at Woodhaven is to offer you ample opportunities to get to know God and each other a little better. You’re welcomed to join us in that pursuit! (By the way, you’ll find the “recipe” in Matthew 22:36-40.)

--- We’re all Ministers

Woodhaven's youth and parents serve a hot, homemade breakfast to homeless in Raleigh.
Ever thought of yourself as a minister? It might sound exciting or a little scary. At Woodhaven, we believe that all members can be ministers. Talk with us about ways that you’d like to grow and serve in the spirit of Christ.

Gather at the River

Two red canoes with kids and adults on the river
Woodhaven has some wonderful traditions, and one of them is our annual Casual Sunday and church-wide gathering at the river. On Sept. 23, you’re invited to join us for worship in the Sanctuary at 10:30 a.m., followed by a picnic, outdoor fellowship, games and canoeing at the Barkers’ Retreat on the Cape Fear River.
We call it Casual Sunday because you can dress in your comfy picnic clothes and go directly to the river after worship. You may want to bring a towel (if your canoeing skills are a little rusty), bug spray and sunscreen. Stay tuned for the sign-up details.
