---Welcome!

We want to glorify God, His son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit in everything we do.

Woodhaven is a place where many doors are always open, where you can explore the seemingly simple idea of living with the joy of Christ in our lives. You’re welcome to worship, grow, serve and fellowship with us!

 Worship

Gather with us on Sundays at 10:30 a.m. as we “seek God’s face” as reflected in the beautiful words from Hebrews 12:28: “Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us give thanks, by which we offer to God an acceptable worship with reverence and awe.”

 Grow

No matter how young or how old, we all have room to grow in love and learn from the life and ministry of Jesus. Let’s grow up together!

 Serve

From its beginnings, Woodhaven has encouraged people of all ages to follow Jesus’ example to be ministers to one another, to our community and to our world. How will you serve?

--- Our Pastor

Dave Stratton is pastor of Woodhaven Baptist Church.

“Love God. Love each other.”

When you boil it all down, it’s a pretty simple recipe for irresistible life. Our goal at Woodhaven is to offer you ample opportunities to get to know God and each other a little better. You’re welcomed to join us in that pursuit! (By the way, you’ll find the “recipe” in Matthew 22:36-40.)

--- We’re all Ministers

Woodhaven's youth and parents serve a hot, homemade breakfast to homeless in Raleigh.

Ever thought of yourself as a minister? It might sound exciting or a little scary. At Woodhaven, we believe that all members can be ministers. Talk with us about ways that you’d like to grow and serve in the spirit of Christ.

Our own adult choir will join seven other choirs with this joyful musical message. The concert will open with holiday music by the Triangle Brass and carol singing.

Tickets are $10 each; children ages 10 and under are free. See Keith and Lorraine Davis to purchase tickets, or get them online at www.pepperchoplin.com.

Calling All Wrappers

Lamb standing beside wrapped gift
Woodhaven on Mission says, “Y’all come!” to the Church Family Fun Shop on Wednesday, Dec. 12. We’ll roll up our sleeves and roll out some festive paper to wrap toys for the Lost Sheep Ministry. Join us at 5:15 p.m. for pizza and then get wrapping! Great fun and fellowship for all ages. (No wrapping experience or talent required. Professionally trained wrappers will be available to assist you.)

The Lost Sheep Outreach Ministry serves and supports people who are homeless or in need in downtown Raleigh. Learn more here.

Hanging of the Greens: What does it mean?

Light coming in Woodhaven windows
So, is it “Hanging of the Greens” or “Hanging of the Green”? There may be debate over singular or plural, but there’s no doubt about the beauty and symbolism of this Advent worship service. Simply put, it’s to put the lyric from “Joy to the World” into action: “Let every heart prepare Him room.”

In the hanging of garlands, wreaths and Chrismon ornaments, we share with Christians throughout the ages the memory and anticipation of Christ’s coming. This year, we’re moving the service to the morning worship time at 10:30 am on Sunday, Dec. 2. Please come, invite friends and neighbors, and fill your heart with the hope, peace, joy and love.

Child care is available for little ones, and children and youth can join in the delight of decorating the sanctuary and Christmas tree.
