If you have not picked up your bread bank yet, there are extras on the table outside of the office in the Mobley Memorial Garden.  We will continue to collect offerings to benefit our hunger campaign through November 21.

You are encouraged to make your offering over and above your regular tithe.  Checks for this special offering should be designated “World Hunger” in the memo line and if you choose to give on Realm, make sure to choose the “World Hunger” category.

Bread banks should be returned on Sunday, November 21 as part of the activities on our Micro Mission Sunday.  Our donations to this cause will be divided to benefit the following ministries that Woodhaven supports regularly with our tithes and offerings:

20%     Hunger Fund of the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship of North Carolina

20%      Dorcas Ministries in Cary, NC

Woodhaven’s Community Food Drive
kicks off November 13!

Come and join us on Saturday, November 13th at 9:00am as we reach out into our community for a Community Food Drive. We will once again be canvasing the neighborhoods around Woodhaven and placing bags with a list of most needed items (and a little information about Woodhaven) on the doorsteps of over 900 of our neighbors. As you can tell we will need all the help we can get so bring your walking shoes and get ready for a great time of fellowship and outreach!

Then, come back out on Saturday, November 20th at 9:00am, as we head back out to collect the food items that folks have left out in the bags to contribute  The event will conclude on Sunday, November 21, as we gather to ask for the Lord’s blessing of these items before taking them to Western Wake Crisis Ministry for distribution.
