If we want to understand sacred purpose, God’s sacred purpose as well as our own, we should start at — well, the beginning. This study will explore Genesis 1-11, the narrative unit that scholars call the Primeval History, to see God’s sacred purpose in creating humans, how God’s purpose was distorted, and how God responds to make things right again. It’s unfortunate that too many of these formative stories we haven’t revisited since childhood.  (This is a continuation of the study begun last spring and cancelled by Covid.)
