Wednesdays with Woodhaven
September 13 – December 13
There will be opportunities for all ages! Our adult classes will be offered hybridly.  We are asking that you register for adult classes so that we can plan our spaces accordingly. There is no registration necessary for Kids and Youth Activities.
 
 
GRATITUDE & CROCKPOTS
Sunday, November 19 at 5:43pm

On the Sunday before Thanksgiving at 5:43 pm, bring your favorite crockpot dish to the Fellowship Hall and join us for a time of fellowship and food with a focus on giving thanks. There will be a brief meditation and opportunities for informal discussions of our gratitude for God’s blessings upon us. We’ll provide the beverages, so sign up today and we’ll get the tea brewing. HUNGER OFFERING
Our World Hunger Offering will run from Oct 15 through November 19.  You can pick up your Hunger Offering Banks outside of the sanctuary beginning October 15.  You are encouraged to take the bank home and return it with your offering, over and above your normal tithe.  Make sure over these weeks that you mark these offerings fro “WORLD HUNGER” in the memo line or on Realm in the category section.  This offering will be split equally between five of our mission partners (20% each):
Dorcas Ministries – CBF of NC Hunger Fund – Lost Sheep – Baptist World Aid – Western Wake Crisis Ministry
 

HELP SPREAD THE WARMTH THIS WINTER

 Woodhaven has been invited by Farmington Woods Magnet Elementary School to participate in its annual Warm Kids Campaign. They will distribute bags that each contain a scarf, a pair of gloves or mittens, and a hat to community children ages K-5 who may need help staying warm this winter. Please bring your donations to the Missions Table outside of the Sanctuary by Sunday, November 29.

ALTAR FLOWERS several dates available over the next months
Please read the following to familiarize yourself with our process, then follow the directions if you would like to purchase altar flowers for a Sunday “in honor” or “in memory” of someone.  If you prefer, you can also call the office (919-362-0127) or send Karen an email:  admin@woodhaven.org.  

  • The cost of altar flowers for a Sunday is $65. 
  • We use the florist at Dayspring Flowers and Gifts and we order for you.  If you want something out of the ordinary, you can contact them directly once you have placed your name on our calendar. Your cost will change accordingly but you still pay through Woodhaven.
  • We will list your message in the bulletin on the Sunday that your flowers are displayed.
  • You may take your flowers with you at the end of the service.
  • Your order needs to be received (filling out the calendar or notifying the office) by WEDNESDAY PRIOR TO YOUR CHOSEN DATE
  • There will be no altar flowers on Communion Sundays
  • You can pay using your Realm account…just make sure that you choose “altar flowers” as your category.  You may also write a check and drop it in the offering plate, in the mail, or at the office.  Make sure that you write “altar flowers” in the memo so that we credit it to the right place! PLEASE PAY PRIOR TO YOUR SELECTED DATE.  You can order as far ahead as you wish.
