David Stratton

Senior Pastor



A native of Appomattox, Virginia, David has served as Senior Pastor at Woodhaven since 2011. He earned his Doctor of Ministry degree from Campbell University in 2011. He also holds a Master of Divinity with Biblical Languages from Southwestern Theological Seminary and a B.S. from Virginia Tech. David (or you can call him Dave) enjoys football, basketball, fishing and reading. His wife, Terri, is an ordained minister with a Master of Divinity from Campbell. She is the senior chaplain at Central Prison in Raleigh and has served numerous churches in music ministry. The Strattons have five shared children and five grandchildren.



Blaine Britt

Associate Pastor, Youth & Young Adults



Blaine joined the Woodhaven staff in June 2020, amid the global COVID-19 pandemic. He has been working with children and youth in a ministry setting since 2005.  He was born in a small rural town in southeast Virginia called Newsoms, “the home of the jumbo peanut.”  He spent most of his teenage years doing one of two things: playing trumpet or spending time on the river water skiing.  He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA; and a Master’s of Divinity from Baptist Theological Seminary in Richmond, VA.  Blaine and his wife, Debbie, love to be involved in construction projects, Habitat for Humanity or missions related. 



Emily Hayne

Minister of Children & Administration



Emily is a graduate of Meredith College with a degree in Child Development and Elementary Education. She also has a master’s degree in Child Life: Children in Healthcare and Hospital Settings. Emily taught Kindergarten and preschool and was a child life specialist before becoming a full-time mom to her three children, Jay, Kathryn, and Harrison. She received her Preschool and Children’s Ministry Certification in 2013 from Campbell University Divinity School. Emily enjoys walking at the park, traveling, and cheering for the NC State Wolfpack.



Barbara Mosher

Financial Secretary



Barbara and her husband, Peter, moved to Raleigh in October 2010 after living in Phoenix, where she worked at a Big Four accounting firm and at Grand Canyon University. She’s originally from Long Island, where her two children and two grandchildren still reside. Barbara also has paid and volunteer experience working for other nonprofits. She enjoys music, going to the beach, needlework and fabric painting.


Karen Beazlie

Administrative Assistant



Karen and her husband, Michael, moved to Wake County in 1988 and have made their home in Cary and raised three children here.  They fell in love with the area that was halfway between the beach and the mountains as they love to travel to both.  Karen grew up near Huntington West Virginia and loves the mountains. She graduated from Marshall University with a BA in Middle Childhood Education and Math and a Master of Arts in Education.  She taught math in Wake County for 30+ years.  Karen has one grandchild and loves to travel to Charlotte to visit her often. She loves spending time with her children, Blake and wife Kim, Benjamin, and Emily and also enjoys gardening, being outdoors, and quilting in her spare time.



Sherry Williams

Weekday Preschool Director



Sherry has many years of preschool teaching and administration experience. She’s been a member of Woodhaven since 1994. She and her husband David have two children, Taylor and Clint.



Susan Simpson

Organist & Music Associate



Susan is an experienced organist and has served in churches in both Carolinas. She holds a degree in organ from Meredith College. She and her family live in Cary and are members at Woodhaven. 



Carol Clark




Carol has played the piano in various churches across North Carolina since high school days.  She earned her B.A. at Wingate College, majoring in Communications and Studio Art. Carol plays the piano for Sunday worship services here at Woodhaven. She also works as the Affinity Relations Manager at the NC State Alumni Association and teaches English as a second language to adults in Raleigh. She and her husband, Brian, and their three children are active in many Woodhaven ministries.


Ham Morton

Maintenance Technician



Hammie (Ham) has been working for Woodhaven since 2015 as our beloved maintenance technician. He’s usually at the building before most folks have breakfast making sure our systems are running right and repairs are made as needed. Ham and his wife Brenda have been Woodhaveners since 1994. Three generation of Ham’s family are active Woodhaveners.  Ham is a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War era. He retired from Duke Energy nuclear division in 2005. He enjoys traveling and gardening.
