We want to glorify God, His son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit in everything we do.

Woodhaven is a place where many doors are always open, where you can explore the seemingly simple idea of living with the joy of Christ in our lives. You’re welcome to worship, grow, serve and fellowship with us!

Gather with us on Sundays at 10:30 a.m. as we “seek God’s face” as reflected in the beautiful words from Hebrews 12:28: “Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us give thanks, by which we offer to God an acceptable worship with reverence and awe.”

No matter how young or how old, we all have room to grow in love and learn from the life and ministry of Jesus. Let’s grow up together!

From its beginnings, Woodhaven has encouraged people of all ages to follow Jesus’ example to be ministers to one another, to our community and to our world. How will you serve?

“Love God. Love each other.”

When you boil it all down, it’s a pretty simple recipe for irresistible life. Our goal at Woodhaven is to offer you ample opportunities to get to know God and each other a little better. You’re welcomed to join us in that pursuit! (By the way, you’ll find the “recipe” in Matthew 22:36-40.)

--- We’re all Ministers

Woodhaven's youth and parents serve a hot, homemade breakfast to homeless in Raleigh.
Ever thought of yourself as a minister? It might sound exciting or a little scary. At Woodhaven, we believe that all members can be ministers. Talk with us about ways that you’d like to grow and serve in the spirit of Christ.

Woodhaven Family Movie Night

Starry night with lion silhouette
Friends, family and the community are invited to come on over for Woodhaven Family Movie Night on Friday, July 26, at 7:30 p.m. in the Mobley Courtyard (behind the sanctuary at Woodhaven). We’ll show the original “Lion King” and have games on the lawn, as well as popcorn and popsicles. No charge for the event, but bring your own blanket or chairs. And don’t forget your friends and family! And, don’t worry, if the weather doesn’t cooperate, we’ll move indoors.

Let’s make a splash on an all-day trip to Emerald Pointe Water Park in Greensboro! Woodhaven 7th – 12th graders are invited to join us on Saturday, July 13, for lazy river, wave pool and water chutin’ fun!

Sign up by Tuesday, July 9, so we can plan for transportatioin and chaperones. There are several options for purchasing your ticket:
  • Bring $30 in cash to the church office by Tuesday, July 9; include youth’s name with the payment. (An adult chaperone will get these discounted tickets in advance through the State Employees’ Credit Union.)
  • Purchase your youth’s ticket online from Emerald Pointe at a discounted rate. (Tickets are $42.99 or less depending on how far in advance you purchase them.)
  • Pay for your ticket in cash ($45.99) at the door.

Meet at Woodhaven at 8:00 a.m. to carpool. We’ll eat lunch at the picnic tables outside the park. We’ll stop for fast food on the way home, and we’ll aim to return to church by 8:00 p.m.

  • Ticket money ($45.99 cash) or an online ticket voucher — if youth have not paid $30 to the church office by July 9
  • Money for fast food dinner and $2 for parking/gas (to offset chaperones’ expenses)
  • Water bottle
  • Lunch in a small cooler or lunchbox with an icepack (Avoid mayonnaise, dairy products, and other heat sensitive foods.)
  • Swimsuit

  • Change of clothes, if needed
  • Towel

The deadline to sign up is Tuesday, July 9. Use the link below. We hope you can come for some mid-summer fun!
Parents, we’ll need some adult chaperones for transportation and supervision! Don’t worry — you can choose to splash with the youth or just watch poolside. Sign up below if you can help.

Hot dog! It’s Christmas in July!

Christmas is coming? Yes! The Woodhaven worship choir will soon be learning the Christmas cantata “Heaven’s Child”… and will present the musical message this fall at Carnegie Hall in New York City under the direction of the composer himself, Pepper Choplin. (In December, the choir will share the cantata with our Woodhaven community, too.)
Here’s where you come in. We need your support for the trip! Join us for a special Christmas in July evening on Sunday, July 14, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. here at Woodhaven Baptist Church. Tap your toes to the bluegrass sounds of the Kudzu Ramblers, and enjoy dinner and fellowship. Friends, neighbors and community members are welcomed. Nothing says Christmas more than bluegrass, right?
Tickets are $10 per person, with a “family cap” at $40. Children ages 10 and under are free. Please register online, and pay at the event.

Can’t make it on July 14? You can still help the choir with the expenses for the trip. Mail checks to: Woodhaven Baptist Church, 4000 Kildaire Farm Rd., Apex, NC 27539. Note “Carnegie Hall Trip” on your check.
