We want to glorify God, His son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit in everything we do.

Woodhaven is a place where many doors are always open, where you can explore the seemingly simple idea of living with the joy of Christ in our lives. You’re welcome to worship, grow, serve and fellowship with us!
Steeple of Woodhaven Baptist Church

Gather with us on Sundays at 10:30 a.m. as we “seek God’s face” as reflected in the beautiful words from Hebrews 12:28: “Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us give thanks, by which we offer to God an acceptable worship with reverence and awe.”

No matter how young or how old, we all have room to grow in love and learn from the life and ministry of Jesus. Let’s grow up together!

From its beginnings, Woodhaven has encouraged people of all ages to follow Jesus’ example to be ministers to one another, to our community and to our world. How will you serve?

Pastor Dave Stratton

“Love God. Love each other.”

When you boil it all down, it’s a pretty simple recipe for irresistible life. Our goal at Woodhaven is to offer you ample opportunities to get to know God and each other a little better. You’re welcomed to join us in that pursuit! (By the way, you’ll find the “recipe” in Matthew 22:36-40.)

--- We’re all Ministers

Woodhaven's youth and parents serve a hot, homemade breakfast to homeless in Raleigh.
Ever thought of yourself as a minister? It might sound exciting or a little scary. At Woodhaven, we believe that all members can be ministers. Talk with us about ways that you’d like to grow and serve in the spirit of Christ.

Rock the Block

Volunteers with Habitat for Humanity
Woodhaven is supporting Habitat’s Southwest Wake Faith Coalition 2019 Project: Rock the Block. The goal is to perform approximately 10 home preservation projects over two weekends!
This incredible project will require 50-100 volunteers each day from Feb. 21-23 and Feb. 28-March 2. We need 5-6 volunteers from Woodhaven to help each day.
Sign up or get more info: contact Annette Pridgen at 919-796-3473 or apaspridgen523@gmail.com.

Shake It Up Sunday

Don’t you just love a good oxymoron? On Sunday, March 3, we’re gonna encourage the Woodhaven family to connect… by shaking things up!
The deacon-led Family Ministry Team is collaborating with the Sunday School Team and church staff to offer Shake It Up Sunday. Join us for breakfast at 8:30 a.m. on March 3, and then anyone who would like to “change up” their Sunday School routine for that day and are open to attending a different class than usual can do just that.
We’re encouraging 5 – 7 volunteers from each class, Youth through Disciples (Senior Adults), to attend another class. But if you don’t feel like shaking, no worries! It’s all voluntary.
This idea took root from our Growing Young, Growing Close emphasis, and it’s a great opportunity to meet new people and grow closer.  The lesson that day will be the same for everyone and will be a Biblical look at why this emphasis is important and how it could help our church.
In the worship service we’ll have some other opportunities for the congregation to participate further in our Shake It Up adventure. Let’s get shaking!

Are you ready to travel, taste some delightful foreign-influenced food, and enjoy the sights and sounds of other countries? We’ve got the ticket for you… Go “Around the World with Love” on Saturday, Feb. 9, at this year’s Youth Valentine’s Banquet, a fundraiser for youth summer missions trips.
Tickets are on sale now on Sundays and Wednesdays. The cost is $20 per person, cash or check. Invite family and friends! If you need a little help with transportation, please let us know and we’ll arrange a ride. We don’t want anyone to be left out… Think of it as your “ground transportation”!
Your journey will begin at 6 p.m. with an Italian-inspired menu of rolls, tossed salad, and a choice of entree: Baked Ziti, Spaghetti & Meatballs, Chicken Parmesan or Eggplant Parmesan. No trip to another country is complete without experiences the sweet stuff! At the end of the meal, we’ll share an assortment of international desserts. (You can save those Weight Watchers points for another day.)
During the meal, our youth will share their talents and lead you in fun activities with a little competitive spirit thrown in. This is a neat time to get to know other church members a little better and learn which teenagers go with which parents. It’s a wonderful bunch!
But the best part is the purpose: We’re supporting our youth to learn what it means to serve others and share God’s love. All the proceeds from the banquet will help cover the costs of the 2019 summer missions trip to Tennessee with Appalachia Service Project. Our youth and chaperones will be helping families in need with construction projects to make their homes warmer, safer and drier.
Won’t you join us on Feb. 9? We’re saving a seat for you.
