School of the Arts

Woodhaven is happy to offer music lessons through our Woodhaven School of the Arts, an educational branch of our music ministry. We want to encourage students to learn, develop their talents and use their gifts to praise God.

REGISTER NOW for the Spring Semester. Classes begin January 4, 2021. Instructors and students will be following COVID-19 guidelines including facial masks, keyboard disinfecting, and social distancing until further notice.

We provide piano instruction to students grades 1 – 12 and adults, including beginners and any musical ability. We also offer organ instruction to students ages 16 and above. Organ students must have at least three years of keyboard experience and/or acceptance through an evaluation lesson.
Our goals are to:
  • Provide excellent training in the fine arts
  • Develop future church music leaders
  • Minister to our community through Christian arts
Lessons are offered in two semesters:
  • FALL SEMESTER: Week of Sept. 14 – Dec. 8, 2020 (13 weeks, no classes Nov. 23-28 for Thanksgiving Break).
  • SPRING SEMESTER: Week of Jan. 4 – May 14, 2021 (18 weeks, no classes March 29-April 2 for Spring Break). Mark your calendar for May 14, 2021, at 7:00 p.m. – We’ll celebrate the end of the semester with a Recital “Sharing Program.”
A $25 registration fee (a one-time fee for the year) is due upon registration.
Tuition is $25 per private, 30-minute lesson. Total Fall tuition is $325. Monthly payment plan is available upon request.
  • Tuition covers all lessons, administrative expenses, salaries and recital expenses. Lesson books are not covered by tuition.
  • Tuition is based on the number of lessons taught per month per semester.
  • For students who prefer to pay for the entire semester up front, the $25 registration fee will be waived.

  • Bringing them to the church office during normal business hours (Mon. – Fri., 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.), or
