Sunday Morning Bible Study Opportunities

Listed below are WBC Sunday School Classes.  All are open and welcoming of new members. If you are interested in a particular class, feel free to show up in the room or contact the leader for the online meeting links and for more information.

 

Pre-School 

BLDG #1 (Pre-school building) – Babies: rm108 / Ages 2-4: rm109-110

Krystal Alligood (kjalligood@nc.rr.com).  We meet in room 108 near the multipurpose room (same room as Extended Session care during worship) and share in a time of play, Bible Story, and snack.  If you’re staying for worship, there’s no need to pick up your little ones in between, just come for them when worship is over! 

 

Children 

BLDG #2 (Fellowship Hall Building) – lower level. Grades K-5: rm203L

Brian Clark (brian.clark.nc@gmail.com) and Marilyn Eddinger (mseddinger@gmail.com). Our class meets in room L203. We enjoy crafts, games and learning the classic Bible stories that show us how God loves and cares for us. 

 

Middle School 

BLDG #2 (Fellowship Hall Building) – lower level. Grades 6-8: rm211L

Blaine Britt (blaine@woodhaven.org). We have rotating teachers. Our class meets in room L211 or online. Join us and make some new friends as we study God’s word. 

 

High School 

BLDG #2 (Fellowship Hall Building) – lower level. Grades 9-12: rm212L

Blaine Britt (blaine@woodhaven.org). We have rotating teachers. Our class meets in room L212 and online Sunday mornings. Come one, come all and bring your friends from school.

Pilgrims – Intergenerational

Bob Sizemore (sizemore@nc.rr.com)  – We do book studies related to Bible backgrounds and different topics.

Focus 50 to 60’s

Ken Vandergriff (vandergriffk@bellsouth.net).  The group meets in room L208 and online each Sunday. We do biblical book studies or topical studies. Come join us!

 

Vine – Intergenerational

Judy Chudek (jbagot@yahoo.com) coordinator with rotating teachers. We study scripture, pray for one another, and enjoy genuine fellowship. Married, single, kids, no kids – this is the group for you. We meet in room 206 or online. Join us when you can. Added bonus, the children’s Sunday School class is right across the hall. Drop them off and join in with us!
           

Juggling With Grace – 50’s

BLDG #1 (Pre-school building multi-purpose room) – rm100

Rotating teachers: Randy Patterson (prpatterson@nc.rr.com) and William Davis (willadavis109@gmail.com). We meet in the multi-purpose room and online each Sunday. We do various studies on bible books or topics.

 

Cornerstone – 50 to 60’s

Wendell Jones (wpjones@bellsouth.net). We meet in room L209 and online. We believe that Bible study is important.  We are generally a couple’s class although there are few singles and splinters (one spouse in one class and another teaching or in a separate class).  We generally have children that are grown, and several have grandkids.  We have several get-togethers outside of the class each year.  We welcome new members.  We use the Smyth & Helwys curriculum.

 

Disciples – 60’s+

Jim Carroll (n4cae@aol.com) coordinator with rotating teachers. Our class meets in the Fellowship Hall and uses the Smith & Helwys curriculum.

 

Almost Gold – 60’s+

BLDG #2 (Fellowship Hall Building) – Office Conference rm201D

Rotating teachers: Mike Sorensen (mb.sorensen@icloud.com); Nancy Bartlett (pnbart@nc.rr.com); and Don Hurlbert (logos@sprintmail.com). We meet each Sunday in the office conference room and online. We use the Nurturing Faith curriculum and newcomers are always welcome.
