Sunday Bible Study

Sundays, 9:10 – 10:10 a.m.

Followed by refreshments in the Welcome Room (across from the Sanctuary)
Join us on Sundays at 9:10 a.m. for spiritual growth and fellowship time. Classes are organized by age clusters and life situations. Some groups follow a specific curriculum, and others offer topical Bible studies or life application series. Each group arranges social activities throughout the year.

The age ranges listed here are simply suggestions to help guests and newcomers identify a possible affinity group whose members are facing similar life challenges. You are invited to visit, discover and join any class that best meets your needs. If you’re not sure where to go, look for one of our greeters at the entrances to the sanctuary. If none of these meets your needs, let us know; with your help, we’ll start a new group!
  • College Students – This class uses the Nurturing Faith curriculum (Baptists Today) and other studies. The class meets downstairs under Fellowship Hall (Building B) in Room 209L. Teachers: Terri Stratton and Kay Bradley
  • Young Professionals – This is a new class for post-college, working young men and women. This group discusses current topics or book studies. For example, the class reviewed the book “Half Truths” by Adam Hamilton, which exposes some Christian sayings that aren’t actually in the Bible. Our group meets in Room 210L, on the lower level of the Fellowship Hall Building. Teachers: Mike Davis and David Abercrombie
  • The Vine – This group includes men and women in their mid 20s to 40s and meets in Room 206-L on the lower floor of the Fellowship Hall Building. Teachers vary.
  • Patterson/Davis – Men and women with or without school-aged or college-aged children. This class studies books of the Bible and topical studies. Recent classes focused on the book of Jude and discussions of heaven and happiness. This group meets in the Multipurpose Room in the Preschool Building. Teachers: William Davis & Randy Patterson.
  • Shore/Fowler/Davis – Men and women who may be parents of youth or young adults or empty nesters. This group recently studied the Formations series from Smyth & Helwys. The class meets on the lower level of the Fellowship Hall Building, Room 208L. Teachers: Steve Shore, Wanda Fowler & Keith Davis
  • Vandergriff/Roeder/Wilson (That’s a mouthful!) – This class includes empty nesters or men and women who may be parents of young adults. They are currently studying books of the Bible and topical studies. The class meets on the lower level of the Fellowship Hall Building, Room 202L. Teachers: Ken Vandergriff, Denise Roeder & Valerie Wilson
  • McKinley/Bartlett/Sorenson – Men and women who may be parents of young adults or grandparents. This class currently studies Nurturing Faith curriculum (Baptists Today). This group meets in the Preschool Building, Room 117, because they’re so young at heart. Teachers: Rebecca McKinley, Nancy Bartlett & Mike Sorenson
  • Seniors – Senior adult men and women nearing and in retirement. This class studies Smyth and Helwys Adult Uniform curriculum. The group meets in the Fellowship Hall (close to the kitchen and coffee pot!). Teachers: Jim Carroll, Hugh McKinley, Charles Dail, Kathy Pierce & Jill Via

Students, grades 6 – 12

As our youth face challenges of “growing pains” – peer pressure, a permissive culture, academic stress, and emerging independence – Bible study and life application experiences are vitally important. On Sunday mornings from 9:10 – 10:10 a.m., youth grades 6 – 12 meet in age-based groups to discover how the Bible can be a guide for daily life. Our teens meet in “Youth Haven,” a hangout room on the lower level of the Fellowship Hall building. Teachers: Zac Campbell (Minister of Youth), Julie Little, Heather Simmons, Billy Capps & Doug Smith

Children grades K – 5

We provide a variety of learning experiences, including exploring the Bible, memorizing Scripture, and age appropriate creative activities. Boys and girls are challenged to discover God’s plan for His world and for their lives. The children’s Bible study resource is “Faith Weaver,” a GROUP publication. This age group meets on lower floor of the Fellowship Hall building. Teachers: Sheila Abercrombie & Brian Clark

Preschoolers learn, too!

Our preschool teachers provide a safe and loving environment for even the wiggliest preschoolers. Through playful activities, songs and crafts, our preschoolers learn who God is and how He loves them. Preschool “Faith Weaver” teaching materials come from GROUP publishers. Teachers: Kimmie Kenney & Crystal Alligood

Infants & Toddlers

Nursery care is available for our littlest ones, from birth to age 2. We’ll have the rocking chairs, smiles and snuggles ready!
