5:15 – 6:05 p.m. DINNER (Reservations required by prior Monday)
6:10 – 7:10 p.m. CLASSES & ACTIVITIES for all ages
Welcome to Wednesdays at Woody’s! Each Wednesday night from September through May, Woodhaven offers a chance to dig into spiritual questions with short-term book studies and Bible-based discussion groups. It’s a chance to share joyful moments and concerns and pray together.
We feel that this face-to-face time for reflection and fellowship is an important investment each week – to connect more closely with Christ and each other. Discipleship programs are available for children and youth. Preschool activities and nursery care are also offered, so bring the whole family. Friends and community members are welcome!
Feeling musical? We’re saving a seat for you on Wednesday nights with Ways to Praise (children’s music) and the Worship Choir (adults of all ages, youth and up). No auditions or musical experience is required. Just come on and make some joyful noise!

Join us for dinner, too!

During our September – May program, we’ll do the cooking for you on Wednesdays! We offer continuous dinner service from 5:15 – 6:05 p.m. to allow folks to round up the kids and wrestle with rush hour. Reservations are due by 5:00 p.m. on the Monday prior to the meal.
  • Adults: $6.00
  • Children ages 3 – 13: $4.00
  • Children under age 3: Free
  • Family Maximum: $16.00

Preschoolers & Children:

On a Mission!

Wednesdays, Jan. 8 – May 6
6:10 – 7:10 p.m.
No RSVP necessary! Preschoolers will be learning about missions on Wednesday nights. What is a missionary? What do they do? How does our church “do” missions? Best of all, preschoolers will learn that they can be a missionary and share God’s love with others!
Children will begin each Wednesday night with music. We’ll alternate weeks between missions and what it means to be a Christian. During missions activities, we’ll learn about some of the missionaries our church supports and do some of our own mission projects. On the alternate weeks, we’ll talk about the questions children have about Woodhaven, Christian faith, and how to follow Jesus.

Youth: Parables

Wednesdays, Jan. 8 – May 6
6:10-7:10 p.m. in Youth Haven
Led by Terri Stratton
The spring “semester” for youth focuses on Jesus’ parables. Growing in our faith is like running a race, and the starting line is our relationship with God. On your mark, get set, go!
Common Stories. Uncommon Life!
Wednesdays, Jan. 8 – April 1
6:10 – 7:10 p.m.
Led by Charles Dail (Text: 919.740.0834)
Jesus had a knack for telling uncommon stories on the fly. His parables brought clarity for those whose hearts were searching to believe and confusion to others.
2020 is a great year to learn about the power of God’s clarity and the meaning it brings to your life. He wants you to hear the stories that Jesus told and live your story as a joyful part of all that He is accomplishing!
Come learn about the peace and freedom that comes from finding your place of belonging in the Kingdom of God.

Why You’re Here & How to Pray

Wednesdays, Jan. 8 – May 6
6:10 – 7:10 p.m.
Led by Dave Stratton
Why You’re Here (Jan. 8 – April 1) – Did Jesus die on the cross to inspire honorable but otherwise unremarkable lives? This class is about conversations on how to live as God intended us to live. We’ll wrestle with this old question: What is the meaning of life? What does genuine success look like, measured against what standard? Can my life, our lives together, have lasting significance? Why are we here?
How to Pray (April 15 – May 6) – How many Christians think their prayer life is healthy? Probably not many. This class is not about laying a guilt trip on anyone about not praying enough or not praying well. On the contrary, it’s about learning some practical, perhaps eye-opening, realities about prayer that may well leave us a lot less guiilty and even excited about our prayer lives.
