We want to glorify God, His son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit in everything we do.

Woodhaven is a place where many doors are always open, where you can explore the seemingly simple idea of living with the joy of Christ in our lives. You’re welcome to worship, grow, serve and fellowship with us!
Steeple of Woodhaven Baptist Church

Gather with us on Sundays at 10:30 a.m. as we “seek God’s face” as reflected in the beautiful words from Hebrews 12:28: “Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us give thanks, by which we offer to God an acceptable worship with reverence and awe.”

No matter how young or how old, we all have room to grow in love and learn from the life and ministry of Jesus. Let’s grow up together!

From its beginnings, Woodhaven has encouraged people of all ages to follow Jesus’ example to be ministers to one another, to our community and to our world. How will you serve?

--- Our Pastor

Pastor Dave Stratton

“Love God. Love each other.”

When you boil it all down, it’s a pretty simple recipe for irresistible life. Our goal at Woodhaven is to offer you ample opportunities to get to know God and each other a little better. You’re welcomed to join us in that pursuit! (By the way, you’ll find the “recipe” in Matthew 22:36-40.)

--- We’re all Ministers

Woodhaven's youth and parents serve a hot, homemade breakfast to homeless in Raleigh.
Ever thought of yourself as a minister? It might sound exciting or a little scary. At Woodhaven, we believe that all members can be ministers. Talk with us about ways that you’d like to grow and serve in the spirit of Christ.

NEW College Study

Mustard seeds
Jesus had a knack for telling uncommon stories on the fly. His parables brought clarity for those whose hearts were searching to believe and confusion to those who didn’t.
2020 is a great year to learn about the power of God’s clarity and the meaning it brings to your life. He wants you to hear the stories that Jesus told and live your story as a joyful part of all that He is accomplishing!
Come learn about the peace and freedom that comes from finding your place of belonging in the Kingdom of God.
Taught by Charles Dail, “Common Stories. Uncommon Life” will go deep into the Biblical context and theology of Jesus’ parables to look at the mysteries of how God desires to fold you into his life-giving plan. Wednesdays, Jan. 8 – April 1, 6:10 – 7:10 p.m. at Woodhaven. Need more info? Text Charles at 919-740-0834.

Let the good times roll! Join us on Saturday, Feb. 15, from 6-8 p.m. for A Mardi Gras-style dinner and entertainment presented by Woodhaven youth and their parents. Tickets are on sale now each Sunday and Wednesday.
This annual event is a fundraiser for Summer youth mission trips, including the Appalachia Service Project and an international mission trip. Youth will transform the Fellowship Hall into a festive backdrop and provide delightful service during your meal.
Tickets are $20 per adult and include an entree of your choice — Bourbon Street Chicken with rice and vegetables, Shrimp Etouffee, or Eggplant Etoufee — salad, rolls and traditional Mardi Gras dessert. Childcare is provided free of charge for infants to children in grade 5. We encourage you to invite friends, neighbors, coworkers and extended family.
Thank you for your support, and Laissez Les Bon Temps Rouler!

2020 with Clock Face

Spring 2020 Wednesdays

2020 with Clock Face
Do you sometimes plod through the week to get over the hump in the middle? Let’s reframe that in 2020! Join us for Wednesdays at Woody’s for a little time with friends to eat, chat and “set our minds on things above” for an hour or so.
Our new line-up includes a women’s study with Cynthia Thelen, a look at 1 & 2 Samuel with Tony Cartledge, a practical Smart Money, Smart Kids class led by Randy Patterson. Our pastor, Dave Stratton, will lead conversations about Why You’re Here.
Classes and activities for all ages are available each Wednesday from 6:10 – 7:10pm. Dinner is available for a family-friendly fee; reservations are required to help us prepare for you. Music for kids and adult worship choir rehearsals can also give your spirit a lift!
