---Welcome!

We want to glorify God, His son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit in everything we do.

Woodhaven is a place where many doors are always open, where you can explore the seemingly simple idea of living with the joy of Christ in our lives. You’re welcome to worship, grow, serve and fellowship with us!

 Worship

Gather with us on Sundays at 10:30 a.m. as we “seek God’s face” as reflected in the beautiful words from Hebrews 12:28: “Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us give thanks, by which we offer to God an acceptable worship with reverence and awe.”

 Grow

No matter how young or how old, we all have room to grow in love and learn from the life and ministry of Jesus. Let’s grow up together!

 Serve

From its beginnings, Woodhaven has encouraged people of all ages to follow Jesus’ example to be ministers to one another, to our community and to our world. How will you serve?

--- Our Pastor

Pastor Dave Stratton

“Love God. Love each other.”

When you boil it all down, it’s a pretty simple recipe for irresistible life. Our goal at Woodhaven is to offer you ample opportunities to get to know God and each other a little better. You’re welcomed to join us in that pursuit! (By the way, you’ll find the “recipe” in Matthew 22:36-40.)

--- We’re all Ministers

Woodhaven's youth and parents serve a hot, homemade breakfast to homeless in Raleigh.

Ever thought of yourself as a minister? It might sound exciting or a little scary. At Woodhaven, we believe that all members can be ministers. Talk with us about ways that you’d like to grow and serve in the spirit of Christ.

Heaven’s Child Cantata

Adult choir with instruments
On Sunday, Dec. 15, our adult choir and an instrumental ensemble will lead our 10:30AM worship service with the wonderful music and message of “Heaven’s Child.” Composed by Pepper Choplin, the cantata includes the familiar components –the visitations of the angels, the startled excitement of the shepherds, the shimmering guiding star, the worshipful reverence of the three kings. Pepper was also inspired to include the poignant chronicle of Simeon, whose greatest desire was to live long enough to personally witness the coming of the promised One, thus fulfilling the prophecy of long ago. “Heaven’s Child” takes us into the mystery and awe of Christmas and into the eternal significance of that perfect union of heaven and earth–the divine and the human. Please join us, and bring a friend or two!

Painting Party

Child painting cross
Is your inner Picasso ready to create something special? Join us for a churchwide Painting Party at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening, Dec. 11. Whether you consider yourself artistic or not, come have fun and create a painting to keep. We’ll use the cross from our sanctuary stained glass window as inspiration. Artsy helpers will be available to guide you along each step, and all materials will be provided!

We will offer dinner that evening at 5:15 p.m. and will require reservations for the meal and painting so that we have enough food and materials for everyone. (Please note that the permanent Wednesday night meal reservations will not apply to this evening.) To register for painting and dinner, please contact Emily Hayne via email (emily@woodhaven.org).
